Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] This volume was born from the webinar "Contemporary Russian" which was held at the Faculty of Linguistic Sciences and Foreign Literature of the Catholic University of Milan, and collects essays by leading Russian scholars. Here Elena Šmelёva investigates the changes in the Russian language in recent decades; Irina Fufaeva writes about the ways of naming women and, in particular, about the new feminitivy; the study by Aleksandra Archipova in collaboration with some colleagues is dedicated to the fake news that appeared during the COVID-19 pandemic; finally Irina Levontina reflects on the phraseology of war and on the cultural collapse that occurred in the aftermath of the Russian aggression in Ukraine. The texts are published with facing Italian translations and are intended for specialists but also for those interested in Russian language, culture and society.
