Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The critique of Lucio Fontana's 1957 Via Crucis, which serves as an iconographic complement to the Via Crucis of Cardinal Carlo Maria Martini, summarizes the history of the work relating to his commission and the relationship that Fontana had with the architect Marco Zanuso together with the which held many offices in the Milan area, including the leadership of the X Triennale di Milano. The interpretation of this via crucis reopens the chapter of the sacred fountain in a happy dialogue with the material that characterizes it, a theme already addressed by the author in other previous contributions.
