Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] starting from a research conducted in 2023 in Italy on professional psychologists, are focused and discussed some results that illustrate the professionalization path of the health psychology. Data analysis indicates that: 1. health represents an anchor for most psychological professionals (80%) but only as a thematic and not pragmatic reference, or as an organizer of the representation of the profession but not of professional practices; 2. a professional design of health psychology must take into account an articulation plural of the operational contexts within which the discipline is located; 3. a process of professionalization of the discipline is also called upon to deal with the variation in the professional contexts within which health psychology is placed: first of all with the changes underway relating to the public welfare context (implosion) and with those present in the freelance-professional context (growth).
