Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] No decision to "block" access to Italian ports by boats loaded with migrants and bound for these ports has so far been taken by the Italian Government. According to press reports, however, it is precisely such a perspective that the Italian representative to the European Union would have raised to the competent European Commissioner, Dimitri Avramopoulos, in consideration of the large number of landings which have occurred in recent days, the impact of which criticism of our reception system was also underlined by the President of the Republic Mattarella and the Prime Minister Gentiloni.
