Abstract
[Machine translation] The country of songwriters is made up of words, music and media. This volume then recounts the transition from a pre-modern Italy in love with melody to that made of contemporary fragments and loops: the singer-songwriters have accompanied these changes, ensuring that dream of authenticity and integrity that seems to be lost in the flow of digital pop. The profiles identified account for a wide range of figures ranging from the sacred monsters of the great “classical” season of the singer-songwriter, such as Vecchioni, De Gregori, Dalla and De Andrè, even in the historical variants of Neapolitan culture, Daniele and Gaetano, to the female proposal, with Nannini, to the border territory of the idiotic rock group, with Skiantos. Finally, they open up to the contemporary, with significant experiences such as The Representative of Lista and Iosonouncane. The analyses deepen aspects ranging from the quality of the writing, to the musicological analysis, and in particular to the social impacts and the presence in the media of the various protagonists chosen.
