Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay traces some moments of the rich historiography aimed at interpreting the structural features and long-term evolution of the manufactures in Lombardy between the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries, focusing in particular on the contributions of Luigi Trezzi to the knowledge of the institutions, of the sector dynamics and territorial configurations , of the role of population movements in the Alpine area, etc., in the context of the overall balance of the region and the high degree of differentiation of its productive fabric.
